Before I begin, I just want to take a moment and thank many new readers for giving my words a try. I’m grateful beyond measure, and I hope you find value in the perspectives I bring as a former ballplayer on a wide array of baseball topics.
I have little doubt that many of the new subscribers have come to discover my writing through one of the videos that I’ve shared of the boys and I’s time on the field together. But if there’s anything I can’t stand about social media these days, it’s that baseball, and especially baseball development, can’t be understood in ten to sixty-second video snippets.
Development is a much longer story, and in this format — as opposed to me being a talking head in some video — I feel like I have the opportunity to share in-depth and, very often, rethink or rewrite what I have to say to best help others understand the intricacies of the process.
