It’s Sunday afternoon, 1:08 pm (How coincidental is that?).

The boys and Sarah have left for the day for a “fun park” in Grand Junction (two hours away). Personally, I made the heroic sacrifice to stay behind and take care of the animals, but as many parents can relate, having a quiet day at home sounded like a lot more fun.

It’s our first weekend off from tournaments or scheduled doubleheaders in a month and a half or so, and surprisingly enough, it’s spurned my desire to watch some college ball for the first time in weeks. At this very moment, ESPN+ has fifty-six “live” games available. However, with Tennessee and LSU just kicking off their rubber match, none of those seem to matter.

I’m not sure what the deal is, but that game between the last two National Champions wasn’t suggested on ESPN+, but I just found it on the SEC Network channel on my Sling account.

As I tune in, it’s the bottom of the first—it looks like the Vols scored two in their first ABs—and freshman left fielder Derek…
